fishhouse theatre

fishhouse theatre started because we want to tell women’s stories. We are proud to say that in 2019 we are receiving Arts Council funding to do this.

Founded by Alison Dunne in 2015, fishhouse have been producing, writing and performing small scale productions that have been performed locally and further afield, at Buxton and Brighton fringe festivals.

Alison, whose first full length play ‘Girls With Balls’ was first produced at Curve Theatre’s Inside Out Festival, was also a writer on attachment with New Perspectives in 2015/16 and one of China Plate’s ‘Optimists18’.

fishhouse are associate artists at Attenborough Arts Centre, and a new company in development with Live&Local’s DART Scheme for 2019/20.

We will be producing Arts Council funded ‘Ruby & Cedar‘ & ‘Powered By Fairydust‘ in 2019.
